Excellence in automotive machining was recognized by a quality rating auditor, resulting in certification for precision Davenport and Swiss CNC shop, Gent Machine.
(PRWEB) March 9, 2010 — Gent Machine Company of South Euclid, Ohio was awarded approval of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO/TS 16949:2009 certificates. The contract manufacturer, which has been in business for over 80 years, underwent a three-day audit by SRI Quality System Registrar and culminated in the recent awarding of certification. ISO 9001:2008 is a quality management standard that is awarded to companies that have established, documented, implemented, maintained, and consistently improved a QMS (quality management system).
Additionally, ISO/TS 16949 also requires an actively working QMS and defines it for the production and, when relevant, installation and service of automotive-related products. Therefore, Gent Machine is now approved to manufacture high quality precision parts for the automotive industry (http://www.gentmachine.com/Production-Information/quality-control.html).
The contract manufacturer is celebrating its accomplishment this week when the formal certificate is awarded by SRI.
